By using openstep.uk or the OpenStep app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
OpenStep is a self-help app and website for practicing gradual, exposure-based steps for OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder). OpenStep is not a medical device, medical service, or a substitute for professional care.
3. Eligibility & Account
You must be 18 or older. You log in with your email address and are responsible for keeping access to that email secure.
4. Subscription & Payment
OpenStep is offered as a subscription. Payments are processed by Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record. The price is shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from the in-app subscription page. Refunds are handled according to Paddle's policy and your applicable statutory rights.
5. Medical Disclaimer
OpenStep provides self-help tools and educational content only. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition and is not a replacement for advice from a qualified health professional. Always seek professional advice for medical concerns. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service unlawfully, to scrape or reverse-engineer it, or to resell or redistribute it.
7. Intellectual Property
OpenStep and its licensors own the app, website, content, and trademarks. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the service.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any specific outcome.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator operates.
